(More customer reviews)I needed this product because my 1 year old Pitbull mix had to have two knee surgeries and we needed to keep her comfortable,quiet and away from the cast and stitches. The plastic cone we were told to use was easy to put on her but she was paranoid and managed to bang it against the knee and cause herself pain and discomfort. I heard about this type of collar and found it online. I read the reviews and decided it would be worth the money to get something that would calm my dog and keep her from licking the wound.
The only problem I have about my order was that it took alot longer to receive the collar than I thought it would. When I ordered, it showed 2 in my size available. Shipping was to take 3 to 5 days. It would have arrived in a timely manner at the first week of her second surgery. Instead of receving the collar, I received an email saying I would have a delay and my item would not ship for at least another week. I finally received the collar, 11 days after I ordered it and I paid for 3 to 5 day shipping. I think that was bad customer service and had I known that it would take that long I wouldn't have ordered it. As it is my dog used the collar for just over a week.
The collar itself is made alittle difficult to keep down on the dogs neck. It tends to ride up and you have to pull down on the under stap often. It did keep my dog calm but also hinders their movement. Worked for bedtime best.
